Minor surgical
excision
Sterile minor outpatient dermatological surgery for the complete removal of epidermal cysts, lipomas, pyogenic granulomas, and suspicious dermal nodules.
What to expect
Certain skin growths like epidermoid cysts, lipomas, and enlarging subcutaneous nodules cannot be treated with lasers alone and require complete surgical excision to remove the capsule and prevent recurrence.
Dr. Zartash Arshad performs minor surgical excisions under meticulous local anesthesia in our sterile clinical suite. Using plastic surgery suture techniques, wounds are closed along relaxed skin tension lines (RSTLs) to ensure minimal, barely perceptible linear scarring.
Who it's for
For patients with painful, enlarging, infected, or aesthetically undesirable cysts, fatty lumps, and deep dermal lesions.
Ideal candidates for:
- Sebaceous or epidermoid cysts on face, scalp, or back
- Subcutaneous lipomas (benign fatty tumors)
- Pyogenic granulomas and vascular bleeding lesions
- Recurrent infected cysts requiring complete capsule removal
- Uncertain subcutaneous nodules requiring biopsy confirmation
- Patients wanting safe, painless, sterile in-clinic removal
